Just wanted to see if anyone is planning on going to or has heard about this shindig. There should be a pile of us out there on Saturday and maybe Sunday too. It should be a good time. Its in Froggys' neck of the woods so maybe he could break away from the grind for a while. It should be a good time.

I like watching them guys on TV. Kind of like trials on 4 wheels.

Yep, its even better in person. I go out with a pretty good group of people so it make for some fun action. Here is one of my buds on a small ledge at Las Cruces last year.

Might be down there. Been doing the Rock Crawl thing for about 5 years. Rich puts on a good show. I'll be in the Team purple, Red bull, or Safari gard pits I'm kinda burned out on it so I might start river season a little earlier instead.
Heres more info if anybody is interested.

You know I never could understand why these guys don`t wear helmets? I know when I ran my car the roll bar would have hurt the melon while flipping. These dudes must have brains of brick.

I used to be big time into rock crawling. Here is a picture of my old 1967 Scout. This beast had a 427 BBC, Muncie Rock crusher wide ratio four speed, Atlas transfer case and 1 1/2 ton axles. Totally cool truck. I did a lot of very custom suspension work to it as well.

If anyone wants to go up and look at the boat while they are around, give me a call at 619.823.5643 and we will arrange a field trip. I am going to be up there on Saturday anyway.
I look forward to meeting you guys! (I know you Chris ;) )

I'll get ahold of you Wes, thanks for the offer. Your Scout looked nice. You said 1 1/2 ton axles, did they come out of one of the military GM trucks with the 6.2 turd diesel? Talk to you later bud.

Yes. Otherwise known as the CUCCV or something. Overall, that truck is a piece of shit, but the axles are the bomb diggity. Corporate 14 bolt in the rear and Dana 60 in front. Full Detroit locker in the back too. Super duper heavy though.
In retrospect, those were the most expensive free axles I ever got. I ended up bumping up from the small block and 33's to the big block and 35's, new wheels, new suspension, new brackets, new steering, new shocks, etc... That truck would go vertically up a wall though. RTI of over 1350 on a steep ramp. I can't remember the degrees, but I think it was 37 degrees or so. Anyway, neat old truck. Kick ass interior. I have a ton more pics of it if anyone cares.

You are too kind That thing is whooped. Its a mod stock car that I have beat into submission. Right now its sitting with a broken rear pinion.
looks like I may be down there after all. I'll be the guy You'll hear over the PA :p
They wont let me run till I put a new body on that pig, but they don't have any trouble putting me to work. The river will have to wait another week or two.
