I work where we get Methanol all the time to be used in the Oilfield for various applications .
What are the different grades and pros and cons , they ain't all the same are they ? ?? VP wants like $ 180 a drum where I can get thru work for like $ 75

Just get the specifics on the fuel.....IE specific gravity, % of lead content, and (R+M)/2. If you have those parameters during your search you might find some similarities.
It is my best knowledge that VP isn't selling commerical grade methanol as you probably see in the fields. That $180 p/drum buys you more than just the fuel, its the qaulity assurance that goes along with producing a quality grade fuel for performance applications.
But then again....what I don't know might not hurt me...as of yet.:D

Some Methanol is "reclaimed" from manufacturing processes. Dry cleaning or something like that.
Buy from a fuel or oil distrubutor.

Don't use it in your boat! But, uh, you could SELL some of it.... :D :D :D
