Somebody had a pic of an impeller showing the pits formed from a cavitation problem. Does anybody know where to find it??
Thanks, Mike

I don't know where the picture is, but on my impeller that came apart from cavitation I could see where the anodizing was coming off at the base of each blade and wrapping around to the back side of each blade. One blade finally let loose right where the anodizing was missing on the other blades as they were all evenly wearing it off. I would take a pic but my dig camcorder doesn't take good enough clarity to make it out very well when I upload still frames.
Not sure but maybe this patterning is common on impellers that have been cavitating?

That would be here...
Cavitation (http://www.***boat.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40882&perpage=25&pagenumber=2)
After re-reading some of these posts I'd like to say again...
Blade = rotating airfoils as in impeller blades
Vane = stationary airfoils as in bowl vanes
Vein = blood to the head
Vain = Chet
So what are bowl veins????????
