I was at Teague Custom Marine last weekend and they were selling these. Anderson Mfg "Rapid Hitch". Billet aluminum, 10" drop (adjustable), swaps between 2" and 2-5/16", rated at 10,200 lbs. This thing only weighed about 15 lbs. Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they reliable?

I believe that is the same hitch that Boatnam1 is running on his new Dodge. Might want to PM him for his opinion.

Those hitches are bad ass, I like them because they have more adjustability then others on the market. They are pricey though, something like $150+
I have an adjustable hitch that is rated to 10,000 pounds, it weighs about 30+ lbs and is not nearly as nice as those.

TCM is selling them for around $175. I just lifted my truck, so for my application, I would need to set the ball near the lowest level. This seems like a lot of stress on the receiver part of the hitch. It does not have the angled back brace like other traditional drop hitches. Is billet aluminum that much stronger then steal?

Replace the pins with the locking type.

I use my 10" all the time with my 26' DCB, try to find it on ebay, it will be way less... I got mine for $165 shipped

I remember seeing them at a boat show or car show for $110. I would not pay more then $165.

If you are looking for an adjustable hitch for your truck, I am looking to get one of these rapid hitches and will be willing to sell mine. It solid steel, 10,000+ lb capacity and adjustable. Here is a photo of what it looks like. I'll be in Temecula on Sunday delivering a boat for a friend, if you are interested.

Thanks Lightning. I'm not in the market for a new hitch anymore. I was only curious about the reliability of an aluminum hitch connected to a 10,000 lb trailer.
