the CR is 9.6:1 so the pistons need to be changed and obviously the cam.
What else?
the motor currently makes 580hp/630lbs/ft of torque. looking to get it to 700hp/750+lbs/ft of torque.
what size blower (10-71?)do i need and will the stock aluminum heads be satisfactory?

www.kuhlsuperchargers.com (http://www.kuhlsuperchargers.com) has a ton of good info regarding compression, boost levels, blower sizes, carburation requirements, etc. I found it to be very helpful.

Get 7.5:1 pistons, new cam and have the crank double keyed. 8-71 with intercooler 10 lbs of boost. Bottom end should be strong enough for a pump gas deal. 91 octane minimum

I believe those are oval port heads there. You could change them and go to a larger comb chamber those are 110 cc and leave your bottom end alone I think. I know the pistons with a dome are not ideal If you can work your way down a little on the cr you can put some boost to it to reach your goal. 700 hp with just a little boost is easy. Dart makes a big 138 cc head I dont know if you need that large. This make the changover to a blower a bolt on without machining.

96 is correct. The heads are large oval port 290cc intake runners with 110cc combustion chambers.
One head you could switch to is the Dart Pro 1 CNC. With the 502 I'd go with the 335's. Or the Canfield is another good head.
Get the combustion chambers done (in addition to all the normal high perf. head work) to around 122cc. That will bring you down to around 8.5.
If it's roots style you want, 8-71 is a good size for a 502.
Fel Pro gaskets
and finally switch to the Crane 168741 236/244 112 .610/.632 This will mean new springs and pushrods as well.
Depending on octane available/affordable to you, you could run 5-6# comfortably on pump gas...as long as it's innercooled.
If you don't have good exhaust, you'll need it for this cam. It has 16* of overlap at .050.
This set up will take you to 750 hp easily.
