Sorry for the endless threads. We had a flow master exhaust on our Tahoe and it sounded really good. What would be a good exhaust for the 2500 Diesel engine or is the engine too loud for the exhaust. Keep the same size pipe?? Thanks

I put a 4" Banks exhaust on my Cummins Dodge and basically, I regret it.
It's too freekin' loud, sounds like a damn school bus!
The aftermarket exhaust on a diesel will just lower your EGTs. It will not make any more power.
Cheers

I can hook you up with exhaust. I put a 4 inch turbo back on my power stroke but their are many different systems available. Remember that a diesel will sound a lot different than a gas engine. I did notice a big difference on my truck over the stock system.

Maybe I will put a nice Fat tip on it and enjoy the Diesel Sound...

I installed the MagnaFlow system on my F350. It's a 4" stainless steel system (from the turbo) with mandrel bends and includes a polished tip. The sound level is very reasonable. Actually, I wish it was just a little louder for my tastes... :D
