SERIOUS ISSUES

I have not played alot w/ hydro's and we are running one this year w/ IHBA. I am looking for a prop and not sure of the size I should start w/.
Here are some boat specs. Hull is a DiMarco aprox. 600lbs bare hull the motor is aprox 700-750hp w/o nitrous. We will run 100-150hp of NOS. We are starting the boat in the 10sec class and plan on moving to 9 by the end of the year. We have 22's in the box and will turn about 7200rpm.
Any thoughts and any used props around?

See if you can borrow an 11 x16, prolly be a good starting point.

IMHO you do not have enough gear if you really have 700 hp. 28s and a 16 or 17 depending on the personality of the prop. You should easily be in the 9s. I helped a friend run a bracket and comp hydro a few years ago. 700+hp 28s, 11x17, 7800+. went 8.0s and a best of 7.40 160s squeezin. Depends on the boats set up though, have fun gettin it right and do one thing at a time.

Thanks for the info. I chose 22's to start, We want to be in the 10's at first. Nice to know it takes very little to make the 9's.
Keep the info coming and if someone has a prop it will help (1" shaft).

Heres my two set-ups if it helps. Kurtis hydro 3 blade 11x17 cleaver, 37% 6700 rpm in the lights at 9 sec 128mph consistantly. #2, Mize hydro with 15% over, 7200 rpm in the lights at 108-110 and 10.0's usually each time. 2 blade cleaver 11x16 I think.
