It was good to see you guys at the sandbar. You definitly livened up the scene with the beer bong. It was a great weekend. Sorry to hear about your drive. Did you get a tow from someone or did it break when you got back to the channel??

I was 200 yards off the shallow/jet ramp at windsor dropping off some unwanted cargo, heading for the channel to find you:frown:
It made no clunks, thuds or any unusual noises what-so ever when it went out. Just slipped out of gear, and we slowed, and the engine kept reving at 4000 till I backed it off. It would rev fine, but prop wouldn't spin. I thought it was just a shift cable or something....WRONG!
It will be fixed this week, so Unfortunalely;) I will have to go back out to Havasu this weekend and make sure it works OK:D
Deano.......How bout that damn dog lifting his leg on the sandcastle?:D
Good to meet all you guys and girls.....good times and Great weather!

Hey Josh, That whole freakin dog deal was weird as hell. That had to be one of the funniest things I've seen out there in awhile. I mean out of all the places to piss he runs up on the sand castly lifts his leg and takes a piss right in the middle of about 50 drunks! At least you were close to a launch when your drive went. I was stuck at Havasu springs once and it took about 4 hours before I could get the boat out of the water. I'll be back out the 1st and 2nd weekend of april.

I'm headin to Cottonwood Cove the first weekend of April (can't wait) and loved your pics. Since you've been up the canyon from Willow beach, what would the chances of me taking my 26' Kachina V up there? I've always wanted to do that...

I did go up the canyon from Willow, but appeantly it's a no-no this time of the year on a weekend. No boats w/ more than 65+hp. I think I have a ticket coming in the mail, as a fish & game guy seemed to be taking down my numbers. Guess I should have read the bouy going up! ;)
It's a good run. I've done it twice in my boat. Stay to the center, then up towards the dam the water goes to like 8-10' deep. Start to favor the Az side. There's a good channel, at least 10' deep by my gauge. Once you go under the flat wake sign at the dam though, it's very deep - 20-40'.
The canyons are great up there though....

Thanks RTJas, I don't know about the hp restriction, but I know they have a PWC restriction on certain days and at certain times of the year. I'll do a bit o research into that and let ya know. Great pics by the way...

What's the justification for that?

This time of the year, on the weekends, Willow - north is closed to PWCs and anything with more than 65+hp. This is so our friends in kayaks and canoes may have a peaceful river experience. ;)

I was in Parker this weekend and it was great. There were families and river people out there. None of the spring break jokers on the strip. I had nice skiing water each morning and in the evening at dusk. It was nice to have a mellow weekend.

Water looks low where? Not in Lake Mohave. The lake is at 94% Cap. or 4 feet down from 100%. That's pretty much where it's been for a long time.
Have a great trip, Cottonwood is a great destination. http://op6c.com/forums/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif

I agree. That 1st picture looks like he's back in the far corner of Gasoline Alley? If so, that water is REALLY low!!!

Oh I see, no that photo was taken in a cove around mile marker 26, a few miles above Cottonwood. The water was really clear under the sun. The boat is actually in over 6' of water at the drive in that photo. From that point I was able to drop the drive and drive out of the cove. It was 6-10' until you turned the corner, and it started dropping to 20+.....
