Hey guys.
I'm strongly considering buying a boat and i want to get best deal for my money..
here's what i'm looking for and hopefully you guys can come up with some makes/combos's that best suit my situation.
1st and foremost I'll be using this in the ocean. tampa bay, mostly ICW though.
2nd. I'm not looking for a speed demon but i want something that would at least scoot along at say 35-50?
I'll be using this boat for just casual days off. island hopping, skiiing primarialy. I don't really fish.
What's the best thing i can get for say 4-5,000???

your not going to get a lot for that kind of money
you will find boats that will run at the speeds you want
look in the boat trader ther is lots of dif boats find what you like
on most of the boat sight you can enter a price rang
and then you can see what is out the at your price

You need more doe Joe. If you want something nice that's not
going to need a bunch of work.

Maybe a 22' Bayliner with a 4.3?
Either that or a better quality boat that needs a shit load of work and that will cost you $15k in the long run.

Just remembered, my neighbor just bought a 21' 79 Century with a 350 Merc I/O for about $7000. That would do the trick. Good solid old boat.

Thats Tom Slicks avatar. Biting of someone else’s avatar will not be tolerated on ***boat. You have 24 hours to remove it before I make a thread about it. :yuk: :D

Just don`t think you`re going to fix something and save money. That never happens. Add a 0 to your price and you`ll get something nice.

I would say look for a HydroStream, Viking or Vector...150 - 200 hp..what ever engine. I like Rudes myself.......( . )( . )......
There is some cheap V-Drives that go for that kind of money also:cool:
