New Whipple for 496 HO?

This pic was posted in the motor media section. Is this really what the whipple system looks like for the new 496 HO? Plus, it says 525SC, but shouldn't it put out somewhere in the mid to high 600's for HP? Any knowledge of this product yet?

PS: This engine does look so sweet. If this is the new one- Whipple has definately done their homework on looks and style.

i think thats the stage 3 n/a for the 496 by whipple. the blown version puts out about 640 hp. there is a pic of the system on the current powerboat mag.

That's the new HP525EFI it looks like with a Whipple N/A setup.The 525 comes with CMI sweeper headers and Aluminum heads.

Looking at the motor though I see there is a heat exchanger on the front which would lead me to believe that it is a Merc 525 like Highroller said. I will have to go back over to OSO and make sure I read his post correctly.

I stand corrected.From everything I saw it looked like the Merc 525,but I guess whipple is adding the same stuff to the 496.
