As a thank you to all of the guiding lights here on the v-drive board I have a little contest for you...
First person to guess the value of this wins a T-shirt (sorry, only have XL but it's shipped free to your door so what do you care...).
I'll check back again on Monday to determine the winner.

Nope......let's keep it to ourselves shall we......:D That's if you want to be in the running for the shirt, if you know what I mean.
Some good guesses here, (and from behind the scenes, there are those that apparently wish to remain anonymous...), looks like it's going to be close.

LOL, I always crack up when we hafta toss a blanket over our motor. What are you gonna see from 20' away? We were doing an engine change Friday at PIR, Joe Negri and Chris Summers were standing behind our garage talking and our Honda engineer gave 'em the Irish cop thing..."Move along lads, nothing to see here..."
:D :D
edit: I guess I could just blackmail you for a shirt..... :D :D :p

$ 1,050,000 for the 6 engines. Now those are the soon to be obsolete 3.5 liter engines correct?? The 3 liters aren't out till Indy I heard....how much are you going to drop in real horsepower w/ the 3 liters engines??

They're telling us around 75 HP, but I'm on the mushroom part of our staff so burb prolly has a better idea. :D
Not a bad power output from 1 1/2 soda bottles of displacement.

Duhhh, in my original answer I neglected to mention the engine's peak HP. The 3.5L puts out around 660-680 HP (except for TCGR's motors :D ) and the revs are limited to 10,300 RPM. We have a "soft limiter" that incrementally shuts down the fuel and spark starting around 9,900 RPM. This keeps the power output from taking a dump and is an OK thing to bump on when running into a corner.
When you get on the "hard limiter" at 10,300 the power output decreases so quickly that the car takes a while to regain momentum; not a good thing.
We usually run about a 50-65 RPM split on the top two gears, it makes a difference depending on something as insignificant as a full fuel load that weighs 186 lbs.
I hope you SoCal guys will come out and see us run at Fontana in the fall, I will be happy to give you a garage tour and show you the car close up.

LOL, we usually require our pit bitches to pass a simple inspection, but if you can run alongside this you are OK...

Pay attention and get back to work! :D :D
If that was the boat races, those chicas would be wearing far less clothes. ;) But they're probably quicker to lose them at those high-end dealios. :D
