I need to buy a pan for my new engine. Who do you think makes a better pan Dooley or Dan Olson? I have never compared them side by side. Would like to hear some info if you think there is any
difference between the two.

We use Dan Olson Pans... Never had a problem...Except when an aluminum rod let loose and windowed the side of it........

Dooleys, Olsons, and Aviads are all top quality pans IMO.

I went ahead and went dry sump. I think we get it trouble with the oil control when we "put the boat down" after a run. Regardless of who's wet sump pan I would run, I think I would do a little welding and trap around the pickup. But dry sump would be the way to go. Ebay has some deals sometimes.

I have a Dan olsen Pan and it has several wounds in it. It is still on the motor tho. Maybe that is why there is oil on the floor?

Aviard is still in business. They just built a trick custom pan for the Crackerbox. First race, a Carillo let go and windowed the pan.
Sent it back and they fixed it like it never happend...
