and there are two questions with regards to race/ethnicity.
One of them asks your ethnic identification and the other asks for race. How are these different? In the ethnic identifcation question there are two answers, you are
A: Latino
B: Not Latino
hmmm, WTF?
The second questions asks for your race, under which latino is not an option. Anyone know why latino is separated out as being so different from white, black, asian, indian?

Anyone know why latino is separated out as being so different from white, black, asian, indian? It's because people who identify themselves as Latino can be any race. Think of Sammy Sosa, for example.

(In other words, I didn't make this stuff up! :)) The way the census and government forms people see it, a person can be black, for example, and still consider himself Latino. I mentioned Sammy Sosa 'cause his skin is very dark, but he's from the Dominican Republic and obviously Latino. Somebody from Mexico who is of Indian descent might check Indian for race and Latino for ethnicity. :boxed:

Myself and Sammy Sosa are both Latino, but we are not both Mexican. Sammy Sosa is Dominican.
I am not trying to be smart-assed here, im only trying to get this to make sense, especially since it has its own category on a government form. Also Im still confused as to why its a totally separate question from every other race/nationality/heritage. Wouldnt that be a nationality or even heritage and not a race?

I tried calling the EDD today to find out about a prior claim I had. The answering machine said they were closed today. I didnt think today was a holiday until went to their website and it states "Caesar Chavez Day" is a holiday. What the f up with that.

Yeah, what an important holiday it is huh? I'm so sick of our government trying to come up with reasons to take the day off, paid.

I prefer my aerospace job. I applied for unemployment insurance after I gave 3 weeks notice to an employer and they told me to leave then.
