Headed out early Friday afternoon for camping all weekend. We explored the mud caves for hours. On Sunday we woke up early and went 4 Wheeling in the desert near Ocotillo in the morning...

Then hightailed it back to San Diego. Got home around 1:30 and had called ahead to get the wife and neighbor to load the new boat up so we could use it that afternoon. You can see the camper and jeep in the background...

I slept well last night, that's for sure. I want my kids to get all the fun out of youth that they can....I don't mind providing it either. ;)

How hot is it in Ocotillo now? I would guess 90 or so.

I was out in Borrego Palm Canyon last weekend and it was high 90's, this weekend we were in Agua Caliente and it was high 80's, low 90's I'd say. Friday was really windy. Tents were blowing over, and there was a no fire rule in effect. :(
Saturday was good with a lot less wind and we had an extra big fire to make up for it. The nights are nice and cool still. Easy to sleep.
Next week Havasu then out to Squaw/Martinez a week after that.....I love the summer!!!!!

Yup! I know I gained 2 or 3 mph just from that Kilr!
This boat feels so much bigger, faster and smoother than the flatter bottomed Carrera. Amazing. I will miss the rooster though. :)

No way, I hear those through transoms give you 5+mph:D
I feel ya on the rooster----kinda of a unique bond we had with jetsters.
