Hi Everybody,
I have an appointment to go through VIN verification with the CHP tomorrow with the hydro and the trailer.
This process is necessary because I want to be able to get titles for both items (even though I doubt the hydro will ever see CF numbers).
Since I purchased the boat and trailer in Oregon where trailers don't need registration (and boat was never registered as it is a race boat), I need to start paperwork from scratch. Further, there are no serial numbers on the trailer anywhere, so the CHP will affix an ID plate with new numbers.
I am hoping that some of you can successfully identify the trailer manufacturer by way of it's appearance and details, because when I go to the CHP on Wednesday, I'd rather not have it be officially titled as a "home-built," or some no-name trailer.
Please check out the photos and reply with any ideas of what manufactuurer of trailer I should say it is. Features include an extendable boom-toungue and is a tandem trailer that was orignally a road trailer with road wheels:

Anyone have one just like it or recognize the manufacturer?
Thanks,

Well it would of been about 8-10 inches back from the orig. tounge, but seeing that it has been replaced I think your shit outa luck. Also if it has been painted more than once or twice the serial # will be gone anyways. You also might wanna check the real axle for a little tag hooked around it. that would tell you the mfg and date of mfg.
I don't know really why you are sweating it in the first place, I had the same poblem you had, and I went to dmv to get plates and a serial # issued. They asked me for the make and I told them. Then they wanted to know what happened to the serial # and I told them it got sandblasted and painted over, so it was no longer visiable. (which was the truth). My registration does say "SPCNS" as the make, but so what its still legal.

Fair enough, I'll just set it up as a Competitive.

I found the Munufature's name on the cross member going behind the last axle..American on my Hondo, I did like you and the name on the side of the boat is California Hot...That's what the trailer is called now:cool: ........( . )( . ).....
The name on the tongue is painted over:(

Lakes Only, it's too late renaming your trailer now:p , but to me it looks like a Vance . They had rectangle tags attached on the right side A frame close to the tongue, look for rivet holes there.:)

Thanks Spectras,
By the way, registering the Hydro wasn't near as easy, and I won't get into it now, but suffice it to say it squeaked though and I'll get my pink slips in the mail in a few weeks.
