I am heading out to parker this weekened "Bluewater Style" with a pretty good crew hearing that this weekened is supposed to be aahhhight nothin too outrageous Iam feeling a little obbligated to offer a little more excitement than just "another boat ride" so I have been looking into the different types of towables so far I heard that the one thats kind of half circle, I don't know whats its called, is the best. My only thing is that forking out another $300 (by the time I get the little compressor) I want to make sure that I only buy 1 this year. Any reccomendations? Also any tips on pulling 220+ boys on these things? Are they really worth it, or just another form of a boat ride just 30 or so feet behind where we cant hear them?

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't tow anyone on on inflatable at Parker during a spring break weekend or any weekend in the summer.
Whether you can pull heavy people on it depends on your boat. :D Our 20' daycruiser with a 454 doesn't have any problems doing that.

That half circular one is the best...where you lay in the bottom and the whole thing rolls over the wake when the boat turns. I lost my shorts on one last year when it got stuck upside down and i didn't let go:D

I could be wrong (it happens from time to time). I don't go there on holidays anymore. Anyone else been there more recently? Maybe it's not as crowded for spring break these days.

Ya, don't use metal Caribeener(sp?) clips. Friend of mine had a inflatable rope tear away and wound up with the clip in his head. (Yes, IN HIS HEAD)

Oh come on! I guess early in the day isn't too bad, but the afternoons get pretty crazy, especially once people start getting sauced.
I guess I 'm just an overprotective fraidy cat. It's the mom coming out in me.
I love going to parker, but we don't ski or tube there unless it's mid-week or early morning.
Looks like I'm the only fraidy cat though, I'm sure it'll be a fun weekend there--wish I was going!

OK, that is an awesome website. The videos of all the equipment in action is great. Wife wants a new tube, so I'll have to show her that site with the videos so she can make a choice.

we just picked up a tow toy from Costco. It seats three people, and looks almost like an intertube. Can't wait to try that out!

Old wize man once told me, The day you start toting a tube in the boat is when you go from dude to dad.
