So.....What seem's to be the prefered route to take to parker
while towing a boat from the L.A. area?
Taking I-10 thru desert center or go thru 29 palms?
What are the pro's and con's of each way?
The road through 29 palms is horrible. Shorter, but in really bad shape.

When going to Havasu, I take 10to Blythe an then north on the AZ side.
Seems to be less traffic.

I take the 10 to Rice road when its not busy, if there is a lot of traffic, I go all the way to Blythe, much safer. I usually go to the river during the week and I drive at night, so its usually rice rd. My bro in law is a Parker cop, three fatals on Rice rd. the last couple of weeks.

TheI-10 route , first exit after river, Ehernberg, through CRIT land. Very smooth road. Fourty four miles to Parker from the exit.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but how do you get to the Havasu Landing from the 10?

Take Desert Center, like you're going to Parker, to the 95/62 junction. (Vidal Junction at the inspection station)
Turn left (north) on 95 to the Havasu Landing turn off.
