To be honest man, as slow as it will go for me to post the whole engine as it goes together. The volume of this board will bury the posts really fast. Also I can upload a pic when I post the info without posting it somewhere else and linking to it.
Look around over there, you might see something else that interests you wink

Although I'm fairly educated in this stuff, I have to say, the way you present it, it is very interesting reading, believe me, I could have used this 30 yrs ago when I first got into this hobby, I'm sure this will be a lot of help to a lot of people that are just getting started!, looking forward to the rest of this build up!!..

Info, I've been lurking, uh I mean learning. Very nice, very nice.

Question, Info
After you deburr the heads, how do you make sure
you got all the shavings out? I have read a lot
of articles about deburring but no one ever
mentions how they clean the head after.
My engine building is very, very limited and most
the time rely on a machine shop to do the heads.
You got some nice tools pal!

There wont be many shavings. It only needs a little work. Leave the valves in, tape over the ports. When done blow with compressed air, take the valves out, clean with solvent. blow with compressed air again. Reassemble.
They have never been run so they are not oil soaked.

Thanks Info
I thought you would have to disassemble the head
 Letting my ignorance show again.

Info, I checked out your series over on Barney's sight last night, really great stuff. Thanks for making the effort to share such a wealth of knowledge with everyone. I will be referencing your posts frequently as I get more into my latest project.
For those who may want to see this kind of stuff in book form, I would highly recommend the Reher-Morrison books, available on their websight (http://www.rehermorrison.com). I bought a set a couple of years ago when I put my motor together and found them very helpful.
