For the built in muffler that replaces existing exhaust tips (with the flappers). How much quieter does it make a stock 496HO?
Do you have any dyno sheets on this motor?

rivercrazy I take it your talking about the Extreme Variable transom mount. With that muffler We dropped 15 dB on the 502 so your motor will see about the same. Sorry no dyno test on the 496HO but performance will be right around the same also.

GGB , I see the 36' alu offshoreboat with the arnesons on your picture's site [ Dan from bc] .Didn't know that boat is ready for the water. I'd like to hear it with your mufflers installed on those S/C motors . 15 Db reduction sounds attractive .

Right on, Thanks for the input everyone. It's finally nice to be able to leave it for awhile and move on. spectras only do you know Dan? He went with the High Flow Louver Inserts slid inside of the tips, should be around 11-12 dB quieter and sound awesome. He mentioned heading down to Havasu with it soon.

GGB , I don't know Dan ,but have seen his boat for years on a yard waiting for him;) .I'm curious how is this boat will perform. The other boat [50' yellow cat] built by the same person is being rigged too.

GGB, I would be interested in the High Flow Louvered Insert type. I have Lightning Headers and thru transom exhaust. The exhaust tips have the burn proof flappers. Am I correct in assuming there would be no RPM loss on the top end?

Fast Timmy, Thanks. Definately something worth trying if your looking for noise loss not power loss.
spectras only, Dan mentioned the cat he was rigging, sounds like an interesting boat. If your interested in contacting Dan for feedback I can give you his #.
Texas Jet, we're moving quiet a few outta here every day and haven't heard anything negative back on them yet. What are you running for an engine(s)?
