OK guys. I'm approching the witching hour here on my build up. I need to decide what cam to run so I can have the machine shop prep my newly aquired heads(stock 990 rect. ports). I'd like to hear what cams everyone is running. I did some DTD sheets with some of the name brand sticks and came up with a few possibilities, but I'm interested in what works for you.
If possible, give me all the pertenient info(lift, duration@.050", lobe seperation) so I can run them on DTD.
Thanks.

I guess I should've put up the particulars. That's what I get for sneaking onto the boss's computer when I should be working :( .
I'll try again:
I've got a 468, new bottom end, heads in the shop, 8-71 BDS w/850 Holleys on pump gas(for now)going in a jet. No valve gear yet.
What do you think  .

If you use a Crane hydraulic flat you have a couple of choices:
228/236 114 .530/.531 This cam is used in the Merc 525 SC
With an 8-71 I assume you're gonna put a little more boost in than Merc so you may be able to step up to the 236/246 114 .553/.571
If you wanna go roller:
226/234 112 .587/.610 will take you to 6000r's
234/242 112 .610/.632 will take you past 6000r's
With a Gen 6 motor (roller)
230/236 112 .598/.610
236/244 112 .610/.632
All but the first cam will require aftermarket springs.
That may be a deciding factor for those firt 2.
