Listening to the 80's internet radio station tonight. Missing Persons comes on. Reminds me of my first concert in about 1983 at Raincross Square in Riverside. My best friend's mom dropped us off and picked us back up around the corner so we could look cool . Gotta love the 80s.
What was your first concert?

Corey Hart 1987 Fields of Fire tour Sudbury Ontario Canada. He only did one other after the one I saw before he had a breakdown and had to cancel the rest of the tour.
I'm still a fan of his early stuff. I remember being elated that I was standing just 20 feet away from him, lol. Pleasant memory. :)

1st concert was Ratt with Bon Jovi as the opening act at the Orange Pavillion in San Bernardino. Must have been 85. I think I was in 7th grade. (Can't believe my Mom actually let me go)
My young eyes never saw so many women lifting their tops.
I was hooked.
I still have the ticket stub. $12 admission. Those days are long gone.
I'm sure I'll be paying a pretty penny for Van Halen seats next week when the go on sale.

Day of Rock-n-Roll in City Park. I wanna say 1982. It was rumored Ozzy would not play until the 7 puppies he would be sending out into the audience came back to the stage dead. He played, no puppies but he popped out on stage with a shaved head! That was weird! Especially back then. Saw Journey and Def Leppard aroung the same time too. Don`t remeber who came first though. ELO was then too. The came Ronnie James Dio and I`ve never looked back.

David Bowie at the Michigan Palace theatre in Detroit. 1974?? He wouldn't do Panic in Detroit so everyone started yelling BOWIE SUCKS F*ck you Bowie and threw their lighters at him. It was a rough crowd...
Some other good ones around then:
J. Geils
Bad Company and Black Oak Arkansas
The Who at the Silverdome, there was no heat inside, damn near a riot.
George Thorogood and the Destroyers
shit that was a long time ago.

Kiss When I was 14. Went with a friend and his stripper cousin. What a show! Must have been 1974.
Last concert was last year. Creed general admission on floor and we were right up front!
Performer most seen: Ted Nugent 5 times.
Best concert was Led Zepplin in 1977. WOW! I wasnt a big Zep fan till after that concert. Those guys put on a show!
Weirdest combo was Gary Wright (Dream Weaver) and Black Sabaith.

Sir Douglas Quintet and Fleetwood Mac opening for Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention at the Shrine. Still cant beleive my Mom let me go. '69 I'm thinkin. Next was Steppenwolfe and Three Dog night at the Forum. Can;t remember the opening band but I remember they were way better than the headliners. Then Little Feet, Dave Mason and the Alman Bros at SDSU. Little Feet ROCKED and we walked out on Alman Bros.
Biggest regret: Friend tried to get me to go to a FREE concert at some park in LA.and I wouldn't. How good could they be if it was free? The band- Led Zepplin:(

My first was Steely Dan at the Santa Monica Civic Aud. , and remember seeing Santana there too, Dark Side Of The Moon tour at the L A Sports Arena, last concert was last year PearlJam at the MGM Grand. Best concerts ever all of the Led Zep shows at the Forum in 77, got to go backstage one night and got to hang out on the stage behind Bonham for another, i will never forget those nights, awesome, saw Stevie Ray Vaughn with BB King at the Ventura Theater, 10 feet away from 2 guitar geniuses.
