Allison Fluid Capacity ?

The owners manual doesn't list the amount of fluid for the Allison.
I'm changing the fluid and filters tomorrow and would like to avoid the hassle of measuring it, and be able to have enough on hand when I re-fill.
Anyone know the capacity?
I believe it's Dextron III as well. No mention of that in the manual either.

Should be 1.5 gallons if you flush it out and change the filter and refill it with Transynd (the Allison syntheti that is highly reccomended.) Other than that I'll have to check on it for you. :D

It takes 8 quarts. If you can swing it, use Transynd fluid - it the shit.
