Since I busted my leg I won't be doing a whole lot to the "SOCK" this year but I would like to find some sort of rev limiter for my stock ignition. Anybody got an idea? Eventually I'll add an MSD unit but not this year. If anyone knows of anything like this le'mme know.

I am looking for something like that too, the best I could find so far is from a GM performance parts catalog its a soft touch rev limiter with plug in type modules to limit your rpm.
I have not researched this to see if it requires a computer controled vehicle to run it or if you can just hook it up and use it as is.
Part # is 10039933-RPM Limit Module kit, 5000 series
You can find out at goodwrench.com that is the site listed on the back of the catalog.
I will be running an HEI settup also, so that may be different too:D

mallory makes a rev limmiting tach with an adjustable limit knob. Works well about $100 at P.A.W.

Mallory P/N 644; $154 from Summit. Has the same internals as the Mallory Tach listed above. Really not such a good deal since you can get a rev limiting tach for 50 less than just the limiter, but it's stand alone and it's simple. 3 wires, hot, grnd, - side of coil. Has a little knob you adjust to the RPM you want.
