MY BUDDY HAS A FORMULA ('87) 272 SR1 AND WANTS A PAIR OF KILLLER PROPS(BOTH RIGHT HAND)
HE'S RUNNING TWIN 350 MAGS, MOSTLY STOCK.
WITH A PR OF 4 BLADE CLEAVERS WOT WAS ABOUT 51-53/GPS.
WITH MIRAGE PLUS 3 BLADE STAINLESS 21 PITCH, TOP SPEED WAS OK BUT THERE WAS SOME VIBRATION. ANY THOUGHTS ON A GOOD 4 BLADE CLEAVER(OR ROUND EAR)? FOR HIM/ I HANG ON THE JET BOAT FORUM SO IF YOU COULD E-MAIL ME FOR HIM IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED. WOULD THE REVOLUTION (MERC) 4 BLADE BE A KEEPER?...BILL.

Bill, Your E-mail is disabled so I am replying here in the hope that you read it.
Cleavers will give him stern lift wich is not what he wants on that boat. I don't understand the vibration with 3 blades, maybe a prop is bent. Try spinning them the other way as well.
If you want more info, The are a good # of 272 owners on
offshoreonly.com forums

I never thought of the that, When I think of performance I think Bravo or better. But the age of the boat and small blocks should hve tipped me off. That boat should definately be quicker
I hope he reads this before he tries it
