Ok guys Looking into dropping a new motor with a little more power in to my boat..Ok first off this is what I have:
A 2000 Carrera 202 XR Open Bow
A standard 330 HP Marine Power 454
American Turbine AT-309 Pump
Hydralic Place Diverter
I am looking to get the Marine power 502 which I think is rated at 415 HP if Im not mistaken. Does anyone know what this motor sells for? or who is a good place to get one from and do the rigging of it.
When and If i go through with this motor change I will upgrade to a stainless impeller as well as shaft

Why not have the motor that you have rebuilt. You can easily make 500HP on a 454 while still running pump gas, and not losing any reliability. You should go talk to Jim Grubbs at JGM(Jim Grubbs Motorsports) in the industrial center. I think it would be way cheaper and easier than the new motor option.

But if iI rebuilt this motor I heard that it would prob be more expensive becasue the whole thing would have to be redone cause it has all aluminum internals i think..I am also looking for something realiable and with a warranty...

Call Steve at Pro Boat Service Center in Riverside. He sells the Kodiak Performance Marine Engines. He still has access to the 502. The number is 909-354-7867.
