Neither was crushed in the first game, The Fakers survived... barely. This was actually more like I was expecting, although Houston didn't fall behind very far until the 4th quarter.

The Lakers couldn't have played worse in game one and still pulled it out. Their defense in the 4th quarter won the game for them.
They play OK in game 2 and spank Houston. There is no way the Rockers are going to win the next 3 out of 5 games. As I predicted this thing will be over in 5........

Houston has been tough on us all year. They have a great guard tandem, as well as a big, good center. They match up very well against this Laker team. If we didn't have Malone they would probably take the series. But they won't, & don't be suprised to see all the games againt Huston very close, with Kobe being "the" key factor in a Laker series win.
Get ready then for the real NBA championship series.....Lakers vs San Antonio in round 2. The winner of this second round series will move on to the finals eventually, and play the Detroit Pistons with Wallace cubed. That will be a much tougher series that most people expect.
If it is the Lakers that make it out of the West, it will because Kobe Bryant will show that he is the best player in the game right now, and he will lead the lakers to victory. IMO:cool:

Houston doesnt have a chance!! They might take one game but thats about it. I think that the Spurs will give the Lakers alot more trouble but I think they have a chance on beating them too. Might go to seven games, we will see.
