VERY nice lookin machine. I'm sure your gonna enjoy that. From the pics it doesn't look like it needs anything cosmetic.
What motor and pump? Any idea on the performance numbers?
Congrats and enjoy the banannaboat!
Peace Man!

Damn,
I think you got a great deal for the $$$. The boat looks sharp. Thats always a plus with single color rides... you don't have to worry about odd gel schemes. It should go pretty good for a nice turn key deal. And as you already know from looking at what Cyclone is doing with his boat, the hull is plenty capable if you want to upgrade the engine program at a later date.
Congratulations,
Chris

Congrats on the Rogers. Looks great, and I AM a little partial to the color!
Odd gel schemes? Who has that?
You'll fit right in. See you at FC!

Congrats on the purchase, boat looks like its in great shape. One thing to check out, it looks like the transom is hanging off the bunks on the trailer a bit. The boat needs to be moved forward so the bunks stick out farther than the transom. If left like it is, you may develope hook in the bottom. The bar that hooks to the bow hook has two bolts where it attaches to the trailer(underside of trailer), loosen those bolts and move forward a couple of inches. Before losening the bolts put some good penetrating oil on the threads, they tend to rust in and you will break the head right off the bolt. Again, congrats, bring her on out to Freeboard Challenged.:D

Thanks for the comments on my boat guys. I plan to use it this summer and have Toddnjuzz paint it for me in the fall/winter. I don't know yet.
The motor is a basic stock 455 with a 12Jb-a Berk. That's what the tag says anyway. You never know what's in it with a 29 year old boat.
As far as numbers. I'm sure it's slow like most stock 455's. Low rpm's etc. maybe 50 mph. I test drove it last Thursday at the Avi right before I bought it. Ran good. Good hole shot. As long as I can pull my teenagers I will be happy.
Mudpumper thanks for the advice. I will see about it. Jay

That's a sweet Roger's!
Definately move her up on the trailer! Mine 19' has a real straight bottom, it'd be ashame for your's to get a trailer hook in it.
Really nice man!

Congrats on the purchase, great looking boat!
That Olds appears to be the 390 hp motor that Olds had back then, providing all those add-ons are all original.

Congrats Jay,
Like the other wise ones above said, number one on your list of things to do is to move the boat forward on the trailer asap. You'll not only save the bottom, it'll tow better too......
Very cool boat

Thanks for all the responses guys. I will move the boat up on the trailer. According to the guy I bought it from, the motor is stock except he put on the intake and Edelbrock carb. I'm going to register it today.

She's a beauty jtham. The cool thing is, you can run it as is and if you ever decide you want to go faster you know the hull will do the job for you and you can just swap the motor, or add the power to it. I think you did a great job picking that one up. The rigging looks great and it's obvious that someone really took care of it.
Congrats

Thanks squirtcha, Toddnjuzz, victorfb, flatebroke, Cyclone, mudpumper, Old Rigger, Roostwear, Sidewound,Cas Heatseeker,Blown428fe,Millerj19, AdrenalineOD, and everyone esle who complimented me on my boat.
I plan to use it this summer and your right squirtcha the hull will handle a lot more power. I've already begun talking to Todd about paint, and he has some Chevy motor mounts I may pickup and start a slow engine swap project, or wait till this motor goes.
Thanks again guys see ya out there!! Jay

Not to try to take any potential business away from Todd, but what's wrong with the paint/gelcoat that's on it now. It looks great in the pictures.

I think the man is tryin' to keep the brothas with yellow boats & N2O DOWN! Not that my yellow boat (with the "odd gel scheme") has nitrous or anything.

Nitrous? What's that? LOL
