How many of you guys use them? At what horspower or RPM should a cooler be considered? Do you just connect to the jets line that feeds the engine cooling? How do you tap in to the motor (460) so the oil goes through the cooler? Ant

The oil cooler worked wonders for me. The hotter the oil got, the thinner it got reducing oil pressure. There are a couple of different ways you can do it, but this is what I did.
Summit has oil filter relocation kits. I used one of those to be able to run the hoses through the cooler before going to the filter. It also puts the filter in an easier place to catch drips while changing it. You will have to have some oil lines fabbed. I did mine at an auto parts store that also makes hydraulic hoses.
So for the water route, from the jet to the cooler and to the engine.
For the oil... from the engine, through the cooler, to the remote filter and back to the engine.

What he said except I went with dual filters and I theorized that oil would filter better hot because it would be thinner. Thinner oil should go through a filter easier/faster, so I ran my cooler after my oil filters. I'm not sure if that makes sense to anybody but me-Aluminum Squirt

And Ranz1`s RPM ? My boat hits it when Im behind it but Thats the fastest I take it. (like 4000 rpm out of the hole) Or it`s not nessasary for skiing?

The oil cooler is one of the best things invented. I put mine on last year and it helped a lot with the oil pressure. Also, if you think about it, the only part of the engine cooled otherwise is the top half and not the bottom half. This keeps the engine running better at sustained, higher rpms. Finally, it's a hell of a lot easier getting to the oil filter.

I have these for a BBC. Rex Marine also has them and they have them to fit your 460. They are pretty nice and much better then the cast ones.
