Anybody know the deal on these things? Looks like they've got splashes or other builders hulls and they're doing their own rigging???
Just stumbled across one of their ads in a magazine, they've got a 270 that looks very much like a 27' Advantage Victory and a 296 that looks IDENTICAL to a 29 Cheetah....

Everyone I've seen on the water looked more like a water sled or plow.

I saw an add in April's powerboat, I thought the 270 looked like a warlock.....the add also had a new triple step 30 pictured, but it didn't look like the 29 Cheetah at all. I don't know anything about them, only that the owners can't drive on the highway and that there was some sort of sandbar issue. :D

If I'm not mistaken, the 27 is the old 25 Virage hull from the mid 90's.
I'm not sure who was laying them up, or doing the rigging, but they didnt appear to be too high of a quality product.

I thought that Cheetah Bob had the 25 Virage mold and was going to build it in Havasu called a Stealth. But that was probably a year ago, that might have changed.

That's the one that looks like the Aftershock 27 Violator, IMHO.

I'm not absolutely postive but the last I heard Aftershock was laying up the hulls for them. But again, I'm not positive. That cat does look like the Aftershock Violator.

That's true....Saw one when I picked up my boat. Also the same hull that Laser sells as a 25' Fury isn't it???

Yeah, it is the same hull. I believe Genesis also has there own version of that hull too. I saw a picture of Lightning Boat's 25ft. boat and it look's like the same hull. I guess that mold has gotten around.

Look at the red line as it moves up the hull to the deck and how far off the two lines are from each other. Looks like a quality control issue.

Yea Dan I see what you mean....that one is a clone of the 29 Cheetah. That cat is a clone of the Aftershock Violator for sure.
I remember lookin at the Virages in 1999 when we were shoping for our ride, they were pretty nice for a 25ft boat as I recall. They folded a couple of months later.

west coast/aftershock used to lay up their hulls for them but i don't think they do anymore. they "rig" thier boats them selves.
