In Folsom there is the Powerhouse Pub.....

You might want to hit Old Town. Right on the Sacramento River and some good party spots. Try Joes Crab Shack, Fanny Anns and the Delta King.

THATS a very long drive....
When I was younger I use to commute from Pomona to Cerritos, but I worked 6am to 2pm so I could miss most of the traffic
Alta Loma is such a nice place to live.

It is a nice place. I like the mountain looking down over everything, and as I left the lights down below were kinda cool looking. His back yard is so steep though he had to spend about 40K on retaining walls to make it useable.

yes, you can spend a lot of money on houses up here.
We like ours, we just do one major thing each year, to fix it up.
It was buildt in 1977, so we need to fix as we go.
We have an excellent school district :D
It can be windy everywhere, but not here....
People let you pull out in front of them in traffic....
The only bummer is in the summer, when smog is REALLY bad, you can't even see the mountains. Did you see where the fire was?

Yeah, I can see the smog being a huge issue in summer. It seems like it'd be pretty nice most of the rest of the year though. My father in law lived in upland for many years while he was a cop in Pomona. My Bro in law lives in La Verne now and is a cop there as I recall.

If I had to live in the southland and I had someplace to work that was less than 20 miles away, I'd consider it. I zeroed out the trip OD and it is 45 miles for him to drive to work. Over nasty, nasty freeways to boot. I couldn't deal with that...:( :mad:

People let you pull out of the Vons parking lot onto Carnelian just before the freeway onramp. If they don't you know they aren't from Alta Loma....;)
Yes, that is a miserable drive for him to make.:(
I work about 3 minutes from my house and Mr Scream drives about 10....
