Just the physical act of compressing air heats the air up, which in turn is transferred into the motor to some point. Hence, the reason a lot of blower boats run inter-coolers. Most blower boats probably do actually run cooler because most of them do not run a recirc pump or a thermostat. This keeps the engine cool and reduces the chance of the dreaded piston destroying detonation http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gifMy blower motor hardly ever gets over 120 degrees on the water temp.

A blower motor forces more air, and more gas into the cylinder, making a bigger explosion (hopefuly a controlled one), more power, more heat, all kinds of mores.
It is possible to cool it down though.
