Well, another blown Carlisle tire for me this weekend. This is my second blown tire in one year.
I have spoken with Tony Ramirez @ Extreme, concerning this matter and I am scheduled to take it down to his location for him to take a look at the "Tires" and see if he thinks it's a problem with the tires.
Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!

Is it just the heavy boats blowing out tires or is everyone pretty much having the problem, I hope my little 22 footer is light enough to not have a problem:( Robert:confused:

How old are the tires? Good luck.
Oh by the way, I was in the malibu ski boat to your left in the channel Sat afternoon---forgot your username so I didn't introduce myself:frown:
I assume you were the one driving?

Carlisle makes a crappy tire.
You have to continuously check the inflation,, or they heat up and blow.
They abso****inlutely have to be replaced every 4 years, no matter what the condition or use. It'll tell you that in the Extreem trailer owners manual.
I have switched to Towmaster/ aka Greenball from Americas tire stores, with a replacement warranty.
Or you can buy towmasters from Big O in Havabrew with hardly any warranty.
Reguardless, it's the better tire from my humble experiences.

I have a brand new Carlisle that I was going to use as a spare, but never mounted. My new trailer uses a different size, so if someone can use it, make me an offer. I think it is a 215 70 15, but it is in Havasu and I'll confirm it Thurs.

I put Marathons on my last boat trailer (Howard 22 offshore) in 1996. Ran them for at least 30,000 miles and they were still good condition in 2003 when I sold the boat. They are probably still on the trailer and I never had a problem with them.

Hell my little 18 footer blew a carlisle, that was one season old, 200 mile trip. 50lbs when I started......checked the other when it blew 72 lbs and hot and soft sidewall. Rig is almost 1000 lbs less than sidewall rating.......Never again, did not even bother with warrenty.
Carlisle makes good rubber roofs though....

I blew 3 of the Roadmaster Rampages and I took the trailer to Etreme and they gave me 5 brand new Carlise Tires and 2 new fenders at no charge. I got that pit stop down pat not thats a good thing. They say the 15" tires are better but I have'nt heard anything good about them.
