What exactly does it mean to be "blown"?Nuboater...... I'm really sorry for that comment, but I just couldn't resist that one.... Blown is when the engine has some sort of "forced induction system" blowing the fuel/air mixture into the cylinders. This is in comparison to "normally aspirated" which means the static air pressure surrounding us is acting upon the carb or FI intake... ie.. the vacuum created when the piston goes from TDC down, while the intake valve opens, causing a vacuum(atmospheric pressure is greater)and forcing the air/fuel mixture into the cylinders... Of course, a blower or turbo increases the atmospheric pressure acting upon the intake. Hope that helped.. Ivan
