can you turn a set of ovals into rectangles bbc?

I have seen it done. Do not know what castings were used.
Stock GM rectangle stuff is cheap enough now a days since aftermarket heads are plentiful. Ask around you can find some.

I had a set of # 049 oval port heads turned into rec haeds. Save your money , get a good set of after market heads. Whats it going on anyway?

540 n/a i do not know if i want to go alum or stay iron there is a big difernce in price! but how much in performance is the motor going to gain? it is an all roller motor.
i am at that point i gotta make a dession so i can buy pistons. what to do? the boat is a carrera viper lightish lay up with a shorty imco lightnings etc.
