BTW - awesome boat!
High School Teacher finishing what couldn't be done during the week, Sat-Sun 4pm-7pm
THAT is so true, untill I started working in education, I had no idea the amount of work that needed to be done outside the classroom ( or classroom hours) I think most parents are under the impression that teachers only work school hours.

I work according to my pre-planned schedule. I segregate my day into mini schedules. Effective, because I rarely have to put in a full day. Plus, technology allows me to go wherever I want and work. Like the lake.

There was an article a few years ago about some LA City and LA County firefighters pulling down in excess of $100k per year. That's a ton of money IMHO.

This may be true, but do you know how much OT they had to work to make that much money. When they finally went home their kids probably didn't recognize them.

Wouldn't surprise me. I remeber the article talking about one guy who would work like 8 days straught and then go back to where he lived, Bullhead City, for 2-3 weeks or something like that.

We use to have a guy that lived in Oregon and would work for 2 or 3 weeks straight and then go home for a couple of weeks.
