I've been doing the Elsinore thing lately cuz it's just an easier drive for me but I'm MISSING THE POSSE ACTION!!:D

Yeah I know. That why I have a four day weekend!! I originally planned on going to the Freeboard dealy but something came up and I have to stay close to home.;)

I go through downtown. Screw the 405. Even on early morning weekend days, sometimes it gets backed up on the Sepulveda Pass. 405 = shitty traffic. Not to mention the incline. The only bad incline to me is where the 14 split is. 110 to the 5 works good for me. Just got to be careful both ways on the transitions. It's a sharp turn with a trailer. Only 60 miles to Castaic. One hour and I'm launching.

Hooter, Elsinore is 75 miles from my door. If I'm staying the night I'll go there but I prefer Castaic for day trips.

They are from Castiac..... Getting a ticket on a lake or on the highway is the same. If you don't pay attention you'll get a ticket!

I had to take it back in. Partly for the routine post 10 hr re-torquing of the heads and also because since the re-build it won't go into reverse.:(

When I brought it in, it shifted fine, after a $7,600 powerhead re-build, it now won't shift into reverse. It was a major job and I can see how there could be a few bugs to work out. However, if he says that the shifting problem is not related to the rebuild and charges me to fix it. Well, I'll just be looking for another shop to take my biz.. It is getting near the point where I have put enough money into that motor to have baught a new one....I'm starting to think that a better shop might have either prevented these probs or advised me of potential probs and advised me accordingly.....Afterall he had my boat in the shop 3 times last summer and fall before the motor seized.

Well, my mechanic just called and told me to come in and pick up my boat.:D He said the shifting only needed a linkage adjustment and my sputtering was from a plug that needed to be replaced. He says I'm good to go for the season.:cool: Best of all, he didn't mention any additional charges.:D WoooHooo! who knows, perhaps after a few fun trips I might go back to talking sh!#..;) Yea, that's it, I'll go on bench racers. :rolleyes: Yea. Right.;)

Got it out on Castiac on monday and WhooHooo! nothing brokedown and it ran OK. :cool: The shifter feels kind of funny but it goes in each direction. It also feels sluggish, but I guess that is to be expected since the motor is barely broken in and it still has some extra oil in it's fuel.:idea2: I still haven't tried a top speed run, so it may need to be blown out, after running so long on such a rich mix.:idea: :cool:
