My mechanic was involved in an motorcycle accident and it looks like he is going to loose his leg. Needless to say I still have work that needs to be finished on my engine. Any one know of a GOOD outboard mechanic in the IE or OC??????

Ok I talked to John at John's Custom Marine and he doesn't work on Mercury/Mariner. Any other seggestions?
He said if I could get the parts he would look at it, but if not he doubts it.

Maybe you got a different john's custom marine.....
I agree w/jack. Stoker knows outboards as well as anyone.
Writes the outboard column in hot boat mag for example

Ok I will try calling again tomorrow and ask for Al. But if any one reads this and knows of a good Mercury/Mariner mechanic please pass it on.

Another excellent one is Lew Covert at Lakeland Marine in Havasu. Not too geographicly friendly to so cal but lots of you go that direction regular like anyway. That's where all my major whacker work has been done over the years.
