Do you have to have a boat to get there or can you watch from the bank somewhere. Wouldn't mind coming out sometime to watch but we keep our boat in storage at Gibson...

You can if you ride a four wheeler or something. It is pretty far to hike into. There were about a dozen boats this week. About half of them jets, two were blown. One hydro(V-drive) and an outboard. Fastest one was a gull-wing style jet with a single-carbed BBF. lots of driftwood and debris on the beach from the recent high water.

Thurs evening = no lake patrol or weekend lakers to complain.
Weekends are not a good time for drag boats on Keystone.
Ft. Gibson "The Island" is drag boat friendly on the weekends.
PM me if you need any more info.

We were out there (Keystone) last saturday. Lots of crap still floating in the water and its up 3-4 ft from normal I think. And I haven't heard if they ever found that guy that drowned over near Salt Creek. We saw a few rescue boats but didn't know what was going on at the time.

anyone going tonite?
I think Josh will bring his Fountain. We need to fine tune his engines. He has not run them wide open yet.
Randy may bring the quad rotor boat.

Keystone is west of Tulsa. You have to take 412 (Cimmaron Trpk) across the lake and then its the first recreation area on the south side(Appalacia Bay), if I remember right.

I understood the guy that oversees Chouteau Bend State Park demanded more than a reasonable amount to host the races last year, I really like that park I would like to see guy take better care of it, I use it alot and it seems kinda ratty most of the time.
Dave, it was a busted valve spring and bent push rod, I'm up for thursday.........

I heard last nite that James broke the carbed blown alcohal motor in his new cheyenne so he put his injected blown alcohal motor out of his hydro in it.

He did. He had it out at the island Monday. I do not think it runs any better, maybe worse. Sounds nasty.

It's broke right now. Has a small hole in the sponson where the driveshaft smacked it.
Steel seems to a bit tougher than fiberglass. Torque seems to be a bit tougher than "U" joint yokes.
