I am just wondering with all these setups... what kinda miles per gallon we are all getting... or should i say gallons per mile. I am the basic passanger that pitches in 15-25 bucks a day for gas and was just wondering.
Ya know.. cause boats don't run on thanks you's.

Are you joking? My boat runs really well on thank you's!
About 2-4 mpg depending on speed and load.

Rivercrazy's estimate is right for small boats ,larger ones drop to 0.9 MPG. Boat engine's consumptions are measured more accurately with a flowmeter in gallons per hour at cruising speeds for average. A typical 19-21 foot jetboat with a BB would use approx 6-7 GPH at 3000 RPM, 22-25 GPH at WOT.Boat weight and hull shape alters these figures.I don't charge my friends to ride along ,but i make sure they invite me for barbeque after the trips http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif .

I have never calculated my fuel burn, but I can easily burn 100 gallons of gas in a day if I put some hours on the boat instead of sitting at the sandbar or channel. We are talking av-gas at $ 2.25 a gallon.
On the average weekend at Havasu I will put about 5 hours on the boat and burn about $200.00 in fuel.
