Went by Prime Marine the other day to pick up some things and drop off my shaft log. And I wanted to scope out my deal too.
The blast plate cut out was done over at Pat's Fiberglass. They said my bottom was in good shape and needed no work.
That's cool as I had some guy that didn't speak much english fill the holes and gel the bottom. I drove that guy nuts with my 6' level. I kept telling Julio Iglesias's look alike to fill hear and sand over there. haha He kept sayin good enough and I kept sayin "100 + MPH, fill here and sand there!! " :)
Here's my boat down at Julio's school yard before he got started.

Julio Iglesias did a nice job but I didn't want him doing any more then what he did.
Ok, now we're strutin! The blast plate cut out looked real nice too. Schiada96 made that strut. Mike @ Prime modified it a little bit.

Inside, The lenght of the stut still needs to be cut down. I made the strut block from only looking at a pic of one that was installed. lol, Mike King said I got it pretty close. They put it in their mill and modified it a little.

Here is the drop thru fin that once again schiada96 made for me. It's hitting the axle of the trailer in this pic! It should clear no problem but the boat got put back a little bit on the trailer when Pat's put it back on. I'll still move the front bunk up a little for saftey.
Sorry for the crappy pic.

Well the reason I went out there was to drop off my shaft log. Ya know that has been sitting on my shelf and I didn't really look at it real close. It's just a shaft log right? Well it's 26 years old and it LOOKS 26 years old. They said no problem as when my other crap goes to polish and anno they'll send it out to be re-chromed. That sounded ok untill................
Until I looked at the new wizzy shaft log that's going it the Hondo they are building.
So I told Mike to shit can my log as I gotta have one of these!!
Folks, this was NOT made by hand. It was done on a CNC.
How bad ass is this part?

Now don't ask me how much it costs because I don't even know. All I know is Mike has treated me well so far so I'm sure he'll be fair on this too. I think he thought I was kidding when I said I want one.
Hey, did I say I want one of those fockers??
Here is the back side of it.
