It's nice work, but I feel the same way! ;) Actually I think those graphics would of looked better w/o the iron cross (and I have no problem w/ iron crosses) and ****er language. Or at least if it was placed differently, I always think it's hanging out of the skeleton's mouth. But to each their own, I don't gotta drive it! :p

The bottom should be out in the morning. I'll post some pictures of it together. My wife is not at all happy with the content of the graphics. She says we're a family boat company and that it was not appropriate. I had to explain to her that we build custom boats exactly what the customer wants even if we don't like certain things about it. I saw it as more of a challenge than anything else. As far as I know, this is the first boat to have airbrushed gel graphics in the mold.
It looks like the motor is now going to be a Derebery Performance Marine 632 c.i. 1200 hp. Beck keep delaying things, so we had to find a company we can trust to come thruogh. Not knocking Beck, just can't afford to wait around forever on a motor. Plus this Derebery package is unreal.

I was just thinking this, there is no way to see it while on the trailer and it will be difficult to see in the water.

Nice job on the airbrush work. I know how hard it can be. My bro does a lot of airbrushing with whatever the client wants and he is often up to the early mornings making sure the end results are perfect. It's hard to please everyone but as long as the client is happy. If someone is paying me to do something I want to make sure they are satisfied with the end result even it it means I have to design something that I wouldn't normally do.

Monster Garage can’t say IM a fan of Jesse James.
I will keep out of West Coast Choppers and I
would appreciate it if he could keep the obscenities

The gel coat on that boat is incredible, especially the gost
Skulls but putting the word "****er"on it just ruins it.

as far as kids seeing it, you should have control of you kids so they would not be walking on the deck of the boat to figure out what it says, cuz that were they would have to be,and if they are tall enough to see it,on the trailer, then they are probably old enough to know better, being they are raised in a good home inall. and WELL NEVER MIND

Let’s examine that statement. Your saying the only way for a
impressionable kid say between the ages of 5 to 10 years old to see the "West Coast ****er" would be if he was standing on the deck of said boat because he would be to short to see it on the trailer.
What if the kid was standing on a dock (my son is 6 years old and is 4'6"tall) if that boat was tied up near by. He would be able to read it.
Do you ever stand on the London Bridge and watch the boats go under? He would be able to read it.
Do you ever like to eat on the patio of the restaurant at Topoc and look down at the carp and boats going in and out? (for that matter any other restaurants that overlooks the lake). He would be able to read it.
I could go on and on because that statement was not well thought out and is not defendable.

Most his exposure comes form older kids. (You dont need adults helping) my son now knows better thanks to his opportunity to sample the delicious taste of a bar of soap in his mouth for 3 minutes, He did not always know that and the other potty mouth words he has been exposed to are not meant for kids to be used. He just and I quote thought “They are funny”
Beautiful boat, Motor sounds like it will be over the top, One of the all time best gell coats ive ever seen ..but totally ruined by his logo. My expectations for that boat are it will be seldom used and he and his groupies will trash it.

OH PULEEZE! You have got to be kidding me! If you are taking your 6 year old to Havasu (which you have every right to do) I think the last thing you need to worry about is ****ER written on the deck of someones boat. Let's be real for a minute, can we. What about the g-strings, topless (or nearly) chicks, intoxication or OMG.... PUBLIC SEX! I think that's what I would be worried about with an impressionable 6 year old in Havasu!
Personally, I don't think that Havasu is any place for kids and when I'm there I don't want to have to watch what I say or do. (I know, here come all the nasty replies from parents....) Anyway, hear me out for a minute. You have every right to go there with your kids, but there are much more kid friendly places to go instead of having to worry about what everybody else is saying or doing because your kid might see something inappropriate.
In final thought, people shouldn't have to censor what they do or say. If you have kids on Havasu don't be in the middle of all the "crap". Find a nice secluded cove, lay out the blanket, and have yourself a nice picnic.

Well when I got started on this thread it wasn’t just the word F***** that bothered me. It was more philosophical, more like every few years some people need to push the limits of society a little farther to get attention for themselves, whether it is through language, rudeness or whatever. (Some people call that marketing and make a lot of money off it) What’s next and why only keep it confined to Havasu.
When you see the guy with an image of his schlong in the gel coat on the side of his boat towing through your neighborhood your not going to have a problem with it??? Yah it is an exaggeration but does it ever hit the wall of public decency.
As I said on another another thread…Unfortunately from what I’ve been reading lately the boating lifestyle I enjoy, kicking back in the sun, riding on the boat, drinking some beer and watching the boats and people go by is under assault and common courtesy is loosing out to the F*** you I'll do what I want attitude

In final thought, people shouldn't have to censor what they do or say. If you have kids on Havasu don't be in the middle of all the "crap". Find a nice secluded cove, lay out the blanket, and have yourself a nice picnic.
Mrs. P:cool:
Mrs. P, right on.
Come on people. I think there are about a million other things in society that you need to worry about your kids being exposed to, than Jesse having the word F U C K E R on his deck. The words, images, etc.. etc.. are out there every day. It is up to YOU as PARENTS to educate your children on the rights and wrongs that apply to YOUR VALUES and MORES. Your child is not going to learn the word or what it means from Jesses boat at the lake. Chances are, your child will learn the word from school, a movie, or even YOU when you say it not knowing your child can hear you. What do you think will be worse for your child to see if, lets say Jesse happens to be hanging out in the channel and you are on the top of the London Bridge. Would it be the word F U C K E R on the boat or the 10 G-String clad hot bitches that Jesse would have flashing their tits and getting crazy in the boat.
Jon, kick ass boat, keep up the good work. :)

And yes, it does seem a little funny people going to the sin capitol of the colorado river system with kids having a problem with the F word on a boat....

Screw that "it takes a village" thing, I ALWAYS hated that concept. I agree with you, John, it is our responsibility to raise our kids to live in the world as responsible members of society. My kids turned out great, and look what they had to look up to......

Personally, I don't think that Havasu is any place for kids and when I'm there I don't want to have to watch what I say or do. (I know, here come all the nasty replies from parents....) Basically I’m the lone dissenter here and let me first off once again say Jon, you have a great product and I know a lot of proud Ultra owners. Don’t be sorry this boat has created so much controversy that is probably one of JJ’s objective’s so I would say mission accomplished.
Now let me say no one in their right mind thinks kids grow up in a vacuums and are not exposed to all of the sex, drugs (rock&roll) foul language etc. and no parent that I personally know of expects or wants the rest of society to raise their kids.
That said my point is How far can society go before you personally are offended or embarrassed by the actions of others when you are out with say your kids or being mother’s day, your Mom or Grandmother...
Would it be?
You have no limits.
Homosexuality
Foul Language
Nudity
Public sex (Hand Job, Blow Job, Intercourse)…
For me:
Foul Language when my kids aren’t around any big deal.
Homosexuality- don’t have a problem unless it is in your face like those Gay Pride Parades or
Demanding special treatment.
Nudity – I’d go with the Australian / Euro way (women are topless)
Public Sex – If the kids were there I’d leave if they were not I’d look
Do I have double standards you bet

Havasu is the sin capitol of the Colorado river system? I've been taking my kid there for many years, heck I've been going there as long as I can remember. And unless you are looking for that kind of action you don't have to see it. We used to just go to a cove and kick it for the day. Personally the graphics are great I don't care about or for the WCF, but I've seen just as bad on the transom of some boats.

My point is that the show isn't on the entire lake on any given weekend. The place it BIG and there are plenty of spots to hang without exposing kids to the debachery.
Honestly, I'd be afraid of careless holiday moron boat traffic dangers while trying to enjoy the 95% of the lake that doesn't have adult action.
Also, I guess it depends on what one considers adult content. Topless from a distance, your kids won't notice. Thongs arent adult content. Drinking and being a little rowdy, no. Committing sex acts out in the public eye, yes.

Thats classy. Don't get me wrong, the execution and gel coat are amazing, but the design...C'mon now. If I didn't know who'se boat that was, I would definitely say that it belonged to a thug if I ever saw it. Don't know Jesse at all, but he should have had more foresight to realize that a skeleton with a gun flipping the bird is probably not the smartest thing to put on the side of a boat. As for execution, excelent job. I cant wait to see the finished product when it is all done. Maybe (hopefully) I can watch it on the discovery channel.

That is truly amazing gel work, I've never seen ghosting done in gel. Unbeleivable.
That said, I love the design, exept for the now famous "fu*kers" part. Poor taste in my opinion.
It reminds me of a boat I saw a few years back at Havasu, I cant remember exactly, I believe it was an older Eliminator or an Advantage, 25' or so, had a 525 SC under the hatch and a black windshield area.
Across that area the owners had put, in white vinyl lettering approx. 10" high and running almost the width "FAT F*CK RACING" This was also across the transom, although in a more normal size.
The owners would beach in the channel, making their "sponsor" visible to anyone (and everyone) passing by on the sidewalk.
didnt take too long to draw the attention of Lake Havasu's finest who "suggested" to the owners that they may want to reconsider their "sponsors" logo across the front of the boat.
Funny thing was, I saw the same boat later that year, and the logo had been removed.

Just a little thought....... Jesse james,Rich, famous, talented, and did I say rich? I would fair to say the groupies that will want to be on this boat will might be the stars of the next girls gone wild video series.......So I dont think kids will notice the f****r on the bow they will be staring at the talent on the sun deck.......Besides with an engine like that who cares what the deck looks like!
P.S. not my choice, but I ordered what I wanted.

I think we need to start taking bets on how long that drive will last. Knowing how JJ drives anything he can get his hands on, I'd like to put some money on that thing lasting less than a full day unless John gives him some SERIOUS lessons on feathering it out of the hole!

When JJ came to us he said he wanted the most increadible GEL COAT graphics ever done on a boat. The design and ideas are what HE wanted. He also wanted a trailer that would grab anyones attention. Just as if you wanted a new boat, we would do our best to build you a boat to your specific needs and wants.
This boat may not be to your liking however, I don't think you can argue that it is the most increadible gel coat ever done in the mold on any boat. Correct me if i'm wrong but aren't Skaters, MTIs and Nortechs graphics painted on.

So true, rvrtoy! Artistic ability is either appreciated or it isn't. Ultra, you nailed it on this one. Great job!!

It has nothin to do with artistic ability, he would not being doing the design unless he was artistic....................... it has everything to do with rather you like it or not. The design is personality......the colors are traditional, blue and white.

And as far as someone not wanting there kids to see it,I dont think you would be partying with HIM,with your kids around any way:idea:
as far as kids seeing it, you should have control of you kids so they would not be walking on the deck of the boat to figure out what it says, cuz that were they would have to be,and if they are tall enough to see it,on the trailer, then they are probably old enough to know better, being they are raised in a good home inall. and WELL NEVER MIND
Im right there with you, who really cares, my kids will never see it, and if they do, its not like they have never heard it before!!!! It's pretty obvious, if you take your kids to Havasu, your a little layed back already so why is the word f u c k e r going to make a difference.

Your 100% right. Not all but 99% of Skater, Nor-Techs, & MTI's are all painted after the boat is out of the mold and capped. That also lets the painter have 100% more freedom in his work. Doing that gel in the mold is pretty crazy, and most likely the nicest detail work I have seen to date not done with paint after the fact.
