Whos is going this Saturday and Sunday. I will be staying @ Castle Rock Shores or the place between Buckskin and RiverIsland. Little yellow jet boat.

My family has owned this one for 15 yrs we are actually going to tear down the trailer and build a house this fall.

I usually stay at the first house just up from the public ramp. Right now it has an old POS motorhome in the driveway, but is immaculate inside. Some of us will be up there for Memorial. We are staying at RD's this weekend, but I have to do some work tomorrow in the afternoon at the house. If you see a Gray F250 in the driveway, stop on by and say hello.

I will, my uncle will be out there memorial. we probably have met before. A couple of years ago we accidentaly shot a bottle rocket into the living room of that house (sorry:frown: ) they kept launching of the deck and making u-turns. needless to say we dont play with fire works off the deck anymore.

We were in Parker 2 weekends ago though, and floating down from the dam. Maybe I'll get a flag made with Kokopelli on it.

I'm staying at a place called River Lodge this weekend. Anybody know anything about this place. Haven't been to Parker in like six years. What's the best place to hit up at night? Who's going to be around?

The best place to play at night is definitely Road Runner! There will be quite a few of us heading up this weekend. I will be up there with Jackpunx, & River Dave. I believe that the Scubas will be in Parker, Riverbound, RiverRatMike, and a couple more. Check out Road Runner around 11:00 on Saturday and a lot of us will be there.

Sorry it took us so long to write back. We are going to be down at Big River for the Freeboard challenge. We are probably going to make it up to Parker some time on Sat and Sun. Since we dont know any one from the boards yet please feel free to say hello. And for who ever asked our boat is a Nordic. Not a Hallet.

My wife and I use to camp there every Memorial and Labor Day for several years from '89 to the mid 90's. I've read here on the boards that the park has recently changed ownership which sounds like it's going to be a good thing.
The water-front camping spot that we liked most was (I believe) space #50. It was kind of a peninsula type thing. As you faced the water, the lagoon was on your left and the river on your right. As everyone going by had to stay to the CA side to avoid the rock bar, you pretty much had a great, close up view everyone going by.
A word of caution: if you leave your boat in the lagoon overnight, don't beach it or you will be high & dry come morning. Either moor it out towards the middle of the lagoon or trailer it at night.
As I remember it, the bars in AZ closed at 1 a.m. so we (and what seemed like a hundred other people) would close down Sundance and then head back to the bar ar River Lodge for one more hour of partying. I'm sure others here will know for sure, but I think the bar closed a while back but may be re-opening with the new ownership.

Sorry, you musta asked after I left for Parker, just looking at the post now that I am home. Its a 1978 General Marine Ranger. Its 18 feet with a Jacuzzi jet. I don't know much else about it. I bought it as a hull from some guy who lived in Elsinore that bought it from someone else and never had the money to finish it. I took it down to show him it completed but his buddies told me he moved to Hawaii and live in the jungle all survivor style. Anyways the tag on the boat says General Marine Anaheim, CA. If anyone knows anything about this or of someone who might, I am interested in learning where this came from. I swung by Riverbounds place, but snapped the connection to my jet controller @ the hangle, luckily it broke in the open / forward position and was able to get back to camp.

What a great weekend.. I took my daughter for her first river trip.. She had a great time.. I’ve been keeping her on the local lakes so I had somewhere to let off a little steam: D but now she is hooked.
Once again "Uncle RD" was a great host.. :D BB572 was there.. The 909ers,Kuckleheads, Scuba's.. Lots more.
Oh and the Infamous.. "Mr. Mrs. flying V".. I got some pics.. Will post them this afternoon.

It was a killer weekend! I never want to leave! I need to figure out a way to win the lottery so I wouldn't have to :D. Mark, good seeing you out there. I was supposed to go over to RDs hous sat. night but for some reason when we left the sandbar I noticed there were 2 empty bottles of Goldschlager and the floor was covered in emptycoors light cans and I wasnt feeling to good any more.
