Help, I have a buddy that is taking a motor home to Lost Lake over the Memorial Day weekend, what are the accomidations like? I am assuming that there are full hook-ups that he can plug into. Any info you can give me will be passed onto him.
Thanks a bunch,

My neighbor has a mobil home there. There is a large area near the lagoon/launch ramp that has some concrete pads on grass. From what I remember all the spots have full R/V hooks up. I dont know if its first come first served or if they take reservations. The only bad thing about big weekends (according to neighbor) is that Riverside Sheriff's puts a whole strike team in there come 11:00pm or so and it's ZERO tolerence. He's had to pick up a few friends in Blythe the next morning for not seeing "Eye to eye" with the boys in green

Yep, you can count on at least 30 to 60 Deputies and possibly some Blythe P.D. to be there over Memorial day weekend. Don't want to have what happened a few years ago happen again.
And I can reasure you if you mouth off you will end up in jail.
Remember, just have fun and enjoy yourself.

I've been going there the last two years. I'm not 100% sure about the RV hook ups and what not. There is an area commonly refered to as the "Golf Course" where some folks with RV's stay. To the best of my knowledge there are no hookups in that area. The RV pads near the launch ramp have hook ups though. You should have already called because the spots will undoubtedly be full.
I've never had a problem with the law enforcement there but I have seen folks that have. If you're not a knuckleheaded wise ass you should be fine.

My buddy already has his spot, he just wants to make sure he has hook-ups, I am almost positive that he said his spot was near the launch ramp.
Do you have any pictures of the river form the campground?
Thanks for the info I will pass it on.

I'll have to poke around through what I have and see? I gotta tell ya though the whole layout of the LL resort baffels me. I never could understand why part of the campgroud is in the middle of the launch area?

Here's a pic of the lagoon after we launched the boats. Just to the left is the ramp and this pic was taken from the grass surrounding the launch area.

This is that same lagoon. This pic was taken from the ramp toward the river. You can see how low the water drops during the early morning and what happens if you leave your boat out. This guy was able to float his boat around noon.

This is a pic of the actual ramp. This pic doesn't really do it justice...it is a little on the tore up side. Anyway, the RV stuff is basically at the top of this ramp....literally.

Here's another pic of the ramp. Notice how low the water is. At the end of the day the water will be about half way up that wall.

And lastly, for your viewing pleasure, an overhead view of Lost Lake. If you want to see anymore pics of Lost Lake go to the image center and search "lost lake". That should get ya a few more.
