New slips under construction at Antelope point. Gonna be a loooooong walk from the parking lot. Pictures do not reflect the distance very well.

What the he** happened to the lake?!?!?!
P. S. Why are there so few campers, was this taken at a not busy time? Or is no one going there anymore. At least there is water around the rock.

Wahweap ramp and hotel. The water was not touching the concrete Friday afternoon. Today at 1p.m. it was. Looks like Stateline and Antelope ramps will be useable in a few weeks also.

Deb these pics are from today 5/16. I will be back on the water Memorial weekend and hopefully everybody thinks the lake is dry. You guys know the truth though.

my jaw just dropped, I can not believe how low the lake is. I mean everyone said it was low, but OMG!
So can you launch at Wawheap?
Can you use the dirt launch at Lone rock?
Does this mean we don't have to fight for a space along the beach when we camp in July?
(Do I ask too many questions?);)

Debbolas, take a deep breath and relax. :D
Should be pretty good run-off this spring, now let's just hope for a relatively wet summer. :D

Lake is over 400' deep in the channel and 400'-100' in Padre Bay. The channel is narrow and its gonna be a rough ride all summer.
Looked like they had gravel down to the water at Lone Rock Beach for launching.

cool, so I don't have to go "beach spot wh0reing" up and down the beach asking people, "are you leaving? can we park behind you?" (not fun)

raskal, no, its down 117' now. Will be much lower by mid summer unless we have some sort of extended downpour, like 40days and 40 nites...

And once all that water is gone...then what? :(
How much longer will the lake last at current levels of draw down?
I hope that we will have a couple of wet years soon, but it will take many to fill up again.....
Desalinization plants will dot the California coast so Phoenix and Vegas can have river water.........:frown:

1- Less water in havasu or lakes below powell
2 -I read a report 2 more dry years then water in powell til 2007:(
3- i have seen it go up 40 feet in one year after a wet winter :)
I am still not sure if we will make the trip this year we usually camp in lone rock area it is fun We usuall take a couple of bike to ride the off road area too.after a few days of boating the bikes make a good break from it
