How many states have you been to???

There is a guy at my office who is on a mission to visit all 50 of our United States. When we send somewhere on business he's putting 800+ miles on his rental car every weekend. He's hitting up to 5 states in a weekend!!! He was then disappointed to find out that he's still been to less states than most of us in the office.
So I ask, how many states have you been to??? Airport stop-overs count, but fly-overs don't!! ;)

In 1993 I travelled by car from Ontario Canada to Soo Michigan and stayed states side as we drove to the west coast. However many states are between Michigan and Washington ... that's how many I been to! :D

So, 31 and Washington DC (not a state ;) ).

Only hit a few in my time, 24 that I passed through time or another. Most of them we just passed through on the way to another or home. About half I actually stayed at for some time and enjoyed their state.

There's a bartender (Bartender Pat) from Parker who's in the Guiness Book of Records for tending bar in all 50 states within a 1 year period.

When I was a kid, my parents were hippies. So we would rent our house out for the summer and take off in our VW bus with big flowers on the side. I remember coming home once and having to go to school from Leo Carillo Campground because the people were still in our house. :D
