Blending the bowl

Anyone have info on detailing the bowl inlet and outlet fins.My bowl inlet fins are a little rough and I would like to clean them up.I would like to know what shape your looking for when you do this.If you have your bowl off and you had this done please post pics.

I was told to lightly take a file to them and get them as sharp as possible. At the time I had no money so I did that and the impeller and it felt so much smoother.

I am not looking to go that far with it.I want to shape the entry fins to the proper shape.

Well then I'd just smooth over and give the leading edge a small radius. No matter what, some amount of debris will pass through your pump. If you knife the leading edge there's more chance you'll get a good dent or shanker which will create more turbulence. Flatten and sharpen the trailing (exit) edge as much as you can. That will allow the water to joing back together more smoothly.
