Gull is my fav for fishin'. I've taken my old tri-hull up there before, but the altitude was hard on the fuel mixture.
Grant allows big boats. There was one of them "antler" boats a few years ago wakeboarding all over the place. Must have been locals; no wetsuits..!!

Our cabin looks out over Gull. That is where we do most of our fishing. We go horseback riding at Silver Lake. The whole area is incredible.

Well, to be perfectly honest with you, we adults are more into cathcing a buzz than fish. I don't care if I catch any or not, I'm just happy sittin' in a boat, drinkin' beer and eatin' beef jerky from the Smoke House. Kinda like the river I guess :D .

June Lake is so pretty, you are lucky, the view from your cabin is awesome.
The first time we stayed at an RV park and each day at 4pm if you fished, you would catch fish as fast as you could cast from 4:10 - 4:15pm.
We called it "Happy Hour"
The last time we went we stayed in the State Park campground and the fishing wasn't quite so stellar...

Gull is good for fishin, But I really like Lee Vining creek.
When I was a kid they would let you ski on On June but I think that has changed. Grant works pretty good if you like cold ass water.

Junes at least a good hour North of Mammoth along the 395 if memory serves me ok. I haven't been there since '78 or '79 to Ski but driven by a few times.
Always loved the second hill on the ski runs:cool: No idea what the ski resort is like anymore, can't hardly ski anymore with a blown up ACL.

I go to the other side of the mountain from June in the past (Uncle's cabin) at Hume Lake and its nice and quiet. Alot of teeny-boppers sometimes though doing the camp thing.

My folks are retired and are at Silver right now, through October. They go just about every year. We like to go up for the mule races in Sept. Never laffed so hard...........!!!
