Does anyone know if a Mallory Comp 9000 ignition will clear the runners on a Edelbrock Victor 2R tunnel ram?

It may not clear. I just picked up a 9000, and it will not clear on my mierch blower intake(tunnel ram style)

Could I talk you into measure the top of the cap and the distance from the bottom of the collar to the top of the cap. I tried to get this information from Mallory and they didn't have it right there in a book. Gotta love tech support that don't know the subject.
How far is the distributor from clearing the tunnel ram. I am not afraid to grid a little if it is close.
Thanks.

I'll get you the height measurement when I get home tonite. As far as the diameter goes, no way for me. I'm going with a small diam. MSD or a crab type crank trigger dist.

Sorry it took so long to get back, busy as hell. Bottom of collar to top of cap is 6-5/8"

Don't panic yet. I say it will clear. We have the backup if it doesn't.

Bob
It looks like it will be a slight interference fit. at 6 5/8 up from the mounting hole I have about 2 1/4- 2 3/8. I would have to open it up just a little, which doesn't bother me a bit.
Do you have Enderle's phone number. The number I got off the net was no good.

a spring and shims that will adjust to 7 to 9 lbs pop off. They'll know the part numbers. (this is fuel return).
They also have fuel shutoffs (if your going to do Hud's dealio on the water but they start at $60 and up.

Thanks on the part number and info.
I am going to use a control valve like the ones Rex Marine sales. One of the guys here on the board made me a great deal on one.
What size are the inlet and outlet on the valve from Enderle?
Thanks for the help.

The new ignition came in today. Tried to put it in in one piece, no go. Took it completely apart and started putting it in and managed to get all the parts in, except for the wire retainer that mounts on top. So... with a little grinding on the intake, and a little modifying to the wire retainer I can make it work.
Now to order a brass gear and coil.
Getting closer.

You don't need the plug wire retainer anyway. Also order a distributor shim kit so you can take the end play out. Helps keep timing in check. Measure dist shaft before ordering gear. It's probably .490 but be sure. Also good distributor holdown. No Tiawan chromes. Deburr bronze gear like you did the cam.
