A friend of mine has a chaparral sunesta 222 (22') deckboat. with volvo power. He is looking to get a SS prop but wants to make sure that he gets the right pitch. Does anyone have an idea on what would be the best all around pitch and size for that application. I believe it has 280 horse. 4,065 pounds of weight and a 16 deg deadrise.
Thanks,

No not dou prop. I tried to talk him into it but the salesman talked him out of it. I don't know the current pitch it is stock. and also don't know the rpms, will have to find out when he takes out again. Hoping to get new prop before then, and was hoping someone else with the same rig could help out.

My 21 footer with a 5.7 (350) with same HP 280) is spinning a 21x14.5 to 5200 rpm and speed is over 50 ( Speedo only goes to 50:( ) Oh yeah it's a Volvo Penta 290 drive.
