I just signed up with Progressive. You can do it completely on line at their website too.

I went with Progressive. I called Lesiurecraft and they told me that they were getting out of the boat Insurance biz and would not be selling any more new policies. AAA required me to have my boat registered in CA. instead of AZ! WTF?

Progressive had the best rates for me. Look into the Total Replacement Coverage. They use the purchase price as the replacement value for the first 2 years. With TRC, you deductible decreases $250 for each year you don't file a claim. I started with $1000 deductible...in 4 years, $0. Try the online quote.

Our insurance company is Jetton Insurance. I think our boat is with Progressive or Formost (RV as well ) I think we pay $1000 a year...I could be wrong, but I dont' want to get up and go look...
;)
OT
Our car insurance is with Hartford (and house) and it went up because we have a driver under the age of 18. Even though she didn't have any accidents or tickets. They explained that the whole age group is risky to insure, and so everyone go an increase...

Stated value policies are the way to go - but it does not mean they give you "stated value". It means they use other tools to determine the value and worth of replacement and/or repair. When doing a stated value policy, it helps to have a detailed spec sheet on your boat backed up by reciepts if possible. If receipts are not possible, then report signed from an approved "boat appraiser" or similar should be done.
Progressive has a great program, but if you don't insure your boat straight-up (Real HP and Speed and etc.) they will likely cancel on you and even bring legal action against you in severe cases.
State Farm did have a great program, but they are slowly getting out of insuring high performance boats. If you have State Farm, don't make any sudden movements and avoid eye contact if you want to keep your policy!

The guy i used, shawn wilson, has great rates. I posted his name and asked people just to call him and get a quote. Everyone that called him from HB ended up getting a better deal. I know some people had to wait for their policies to expire, but it doesnt cost anything to call and find out. His number is 562-233-3844.
Also, type in insurance god and see what some of the people had to say about him.
Good luck.

I just spoke to Farmers and they are getting selective on the type of boat they want to insure. How do you get a 80MPH boat covered?
